Association health plans

Enjoy the purchasing power of a large group by banding together with other small businesses to secure lower premiums and better coverage. If you have 1-50 employees, a Moda Health Association Health Plan (AHP) may be right for you.

How an AHP works

AHPs are designed for small organizations and businesses with 1-50 employees, including for-profit, non-profit, and sole proprietors. We combine industry-specific small group employers together, leveraging them as a single unit. An AHP plan is flexible and customizable and can be a cost-effective alternative to Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans for small groups.

Industries in Oregon and Alaska covered through Associated Industries

Moda Health offers AHPs through trusts sponsored by Associated Industries, serving multiple industries.

You can band together with other businesses in these industries to get affordable and comprehensive insurance for your team.

Experienced service teams

Because you’re joining with other businesses in your category, you get similar coverage and cost to larger employers.

  • Quality health plans
  • Vision care coverage
  • Basic life/AD&D
  • Employee health education
  • Third-party administrator (TPA) services and resources

AHP plans are not as tailored as large group plans, but the cost savings and breadth of coverage offset the lack of customization for most small businesses.

Our partners
